In order to carry forward the excellent traditional culture of China and improve students' interest in reading classical ancient poems and essays, Anqing Foreign Language School's Chinese group of Grade 8 held a recitation contest of classical ancient poems and essays on June 25th.
To be concrete, ten students were selected from each class according to their student numbers, and the first, second and third prizes were selected according to the total score of each class. What’s more, the recitation is mainly based on the ancient poems in the second volume of the eighth grade Chinese textbook. The students on the scene were full of emotion and vitality, which made all the judges appreciate the unique charm of classic poems and essays.
On the whole, this ancient poetry competition activity further stimulated the students' enthusiasm to learn classical poetry, carried forward the brilliant national traditional culture, and enriched the students' humanistic deposits!
